The Belgian Office, Taipei (BOT) serves as a link between Belgian and Taiwanese organizations, companies and individuals alike and promote exchanges between them. Together with the local representations of FIT and AWEX-HUB, the BOT responds to trade inquiries, provides market information and assists in locating Taiwanese partners for Belgian companies and organizations in various sectors of activities. We also promote the Belgian investment environment to Taiwanese companies interested in setting up operations in Europe. Our consular section provides a wide range of consular services to local Belgian and Luxembourg nationals and delivers visa to persons visiting Belgium.

On Friday May 26th, a diplomatic conference gathering 70 States in Ljubljana (Slovenia) adopted an historic agreement for a new multilateral treaty on mutual legal assistance and extradition for the prosecution of the most serious international crimes before national jurisdictions.

From 21 to 25 May, Her Royal Highness Princess Astrid of Belgium, representing His Majesty the King, is leading an economic mission to Senegal. The programme for Monday and Tuesday takes place in the capital, Dakar, where a series of B2B meetings and sectoral workshops, a visit to the Port of Dakar and meetings with the authorities are planned to explore new investment and business opportunities between Belgium and Senegal.
